Ayurveda is the traditional medicine used in India since the end of the 4th Millennium B.C., which still today is more widely used in the subcontinent than Western medicine. Ayurveda is a word composed of ayu, life, and veda, knowledge, which can be translated as the science of life.
It is an ancient and complex system which has been developed into its current form by millennia of research and innovation. Ayurveda deals with all aspects of human wellbeing, taking into account both the physical and psychical spheres.
